1983
Our first official GBW gifting bear was designed and manufactured by The Ideal Toy Company.
Ideal unfortunately went out of business.
A few of the first edition bears are still
in existence.
Now a real collector's treasure. |

1984-1991
Dakin produced a version similar to the original Ideal bear but there were easy
to recognize differences: longer plush
and a cuddlier countenance and feel. |

1991 to present day
Muffin, the manufacturer and supplier, came on the scene when GBW moved
their headquarters from Honolulu to Toledo, Ohio.
Our first Muffin bear, to present day,
is a rich brown teddy made from a high quality plush.
Muffin added a lovely bow and has manufactured thousands of these bears for giftings and for collectors. |

year only.
We all felt a sense of accomplishment
and pride!

Forty years of caring and sharing with teddy bears
was memorialized with Ruby.

2019
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of GBW, Muffin
produced Goody as a forever keepsake and for gifting.

2022
We will soon be introducing our eighth GBW special
edition teddy.
He is dark brown and a little smaller due to increased production and shipping prices.
This "Goody" bear will become the new GBW Ted of the future. |
